I’m the founder and CEO of StartupItalia, the largest Italian online platform dedicated to students, entrepreneurs and investors, which make up the ecosystem of startups and innovation in Italy, with 1+ million monthly readers, 100K subscribers and 600K users on FB, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Since 2015 we’ve been organizing the biggest annual event dedicated to the Italian startup ecosystem “StartupItalia Open Summit”,in collaboration with Bocconi University featuring 300 speakers from all over the world and 15K guests.
Before then, I worked in US and in Italy for Dada and Buongiorno, two startups listed on the Italian Stock Exchange – at a time in which nobody knew the word “startup” – leading the respective teams in charge of the web and mobile community development. I then joined the Condé Nast, as Director of web and mobile planning & development for Vogue, Vanity Fair, Wired and Glamour personal shopper.
I taught social media at the Polytechnic in Milan as well as Mobile Marketing at the Academy of Communication. I contributed to the launch of Maker Faire in Italy and worked as Counselor for the Ministry of Public Administration on Open Government and Digital Citizenship issues.
From 2015, I joined Italia Startup, the Italian Innovation Ecosystem Association, as Executive Board Member. More recently, I joined the Advisory Board of the Executive MBA of the Pavia University.
I am a “geek”, I love reading about technology/innovation and playing with robots with my 2 children.
Sono fondatore e amministratore delegato di StartupItalia, da 4 anni la più grande piattaforma italiana dedicata a studenti, sviluppatori, imprenditori e investitori ma anche imprese tradizionali che compongono l’ecosistema delle startup e dell’innovazione in Italia. Oggi le nostre pagine sono lette da oltre 1 milione di persone ogni mese e comprendono 100mila iscritti e oltre 600mila persone tra Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn e Twitter.
Dal 2015 organizziamo lo StartupItalia Open Summit, il più grande evento dedicato all’ecosistema startup italiano con oltre 300 speaker da tutto il mondo e oltre 15mila partecipanti.
Prima di allora, ho ricoperto ruoli di crescente responsabilità tra l’Europa e gli Stati Uniti, in Dada ed in Buongiorno – due startup quotate, quando ancora non si parlava di startup – guidando i rispettivi team responsabili dello sviluppo di community per il web e il mobile. Sono poi entrato a far parte del Gruppo Editoriale Condé Nast, come direttore della progettazione e dello sviluppo per Internet e lo smartphone di prodotti editoriali come Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour personal shopper e Wired.
Ho insegnato Social Media Influence Design al Politecnico di Milano e Mobile Marketing all’Accademia di Comunicazione. Ho collaborato al lancio di Maker Faire in Italia e sono stato Consigliere per Il Ministero della Funzione Pubblica sui temi di Open Government e Cittadinanza Digitale.
Da giugno 2015 sono Consigliere e Delegato Informazioni e Conoscenza Ecosistema per Italia Startup, la più grande associazione italiana dedicata all’ecosistema startup. Da Ottobre 2018 faccio parte dell’Advisory Board dell’Executive MBA Ticinensis all’Università di Pavia
Sono un “geek”, adoro leggere di tecnologia ed innovazione e giocare con i robot insieme ai miei 2 bambini.
